The study aims to examine the influence of the top management team’s intellectual capital on
the sustainable growth of listed firms on Vietnamese Stock Market. The sample of the current
study consists of 148 Vietnam-listed firms over six years between 2014 and 2019. By using
two-step System generalized method of moments, the results show that experienced managers
positively contribute to the sustainable growth of firms. The diversity of educational
background and level of the top management team (TMT) also has a positive impact on the
firm’s sustainable growth; whereas TMT’s age has negatively asssociated with sustainable
growth. In the context of global integration, we recommend that firms should choose the
younger and more experienced TMT to pursue sustainable growth strategy
