Rural tourism, one type of tourism, has been developing in recent days. Phong
Dien is one of the agricultural districts in Can Tho city, having the number of tourists
who visit and experience tourism activities in the countryside is rising rapidly year by
year. Depending on the statistic collected by interviewing 121 domestic tourists with
the questionnaires, the research used SPSS 20 to value the conditions of rural tourism
development in Phong Dien to give some solutions for improving the quality of rural
tourism in Phong Dien. The conditions of rural tourism development include
attractions, human resources, infrastructure facilities, prices and services, safety and
security, and development policy. According to the survey, most conditions for rural
tourism development in Phong Dien are quite good, but there are also some problems,
such as monotonous tourism activities and services, limited knowledge and skills in
human resources, and inadequate infrastructure.
