Geographic Information System (GIS) of application in the management resource brings cartian effects on space and time. The integration of GIS tools in land potential evaluation showed connection between the database attribute and spatial data. Therefore, application GIS in potential assessment and land suitability zones as the scientific basis to help managers orientated development of rice and vegetables in An Giang province is better. The results of this study have applied the method of land evaluation (FAO, 1976) and the support of GIS technology to land evaluation of rice and vegetables. This study has shown that the combination of GIS application and land-based land evaluation methods of natural conditions brings highly possible and has achieved certain results in the management of service data of agricultural production for An Giang province. The results have developed a system of thematic maps as (characteristic land maps, land unit maps and land suitability zones map). The results indicate that 06 regions are adapted to different levels of adaptation for the development of rice and vegetables. The research recommends directions and strategies for development of priority areas for rice and vegetable use in the study area.
