This study aims to define trends and provide relevant information to researchers working in related fields by ascertaining the trajectory of Environmental Information Disclosure (EID) research publications from 1992 to 2022 through a bibliometric analysis. The research employs performance analysis and science mapping strategies to achieve the research objectives by utilising VOSviewer software and the Biblioshiny function in the R-package software. The work evaluates the journal's comprehensive range of performance features, such as citations and publication structure, most cited papers, most productive authors, and most productive countries. The visualisation of keywords, co occurrence, the word cloud of the most frequently used terms, the thematic map, the topic trend, and the bibliographic coupling of nations and authors are all indicated in this study. The results reveal a gradual growth in citations and published publications, projected to continue in the following years of environmental information disclosure. Additionally, Zeng is the most productive author, with the most articles. Still, Garcia-Sanchez and Gallego-Alvarez are recognised as having papers ranked in the H-index and G-index. Also, there are two groups of advanced themes in the Motor theme, which will be the research focus in the future. Additionally, results indicate that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) terms, green innovation, and information asymmetry are on the top three lists regarding research topic trends. Additionally, this study has implications for the research agenda by examining the relationship between EID, firms’ financial performance, and green innovation.
