ABSTRACT

In this study, calcium ethoxide has been prepared from calcium crystals and ethanol. The materials were used as base catalyst for biodiesel synthesis reaction from waste cooking oil. The effects of calcium ethoxide preparation conditions and reaction parameters of biodiesel formation such as catalytic amount, reaction temperature, alcohol-to-oil ratio and reaction time on the quality of biodiesel product were investigated.

TÓM TẮT

Trong nghiên cứu này, calcium ethoxide (Ca(OC₂H₅)₂) được tổng hợp từ calcium tinh thể và ethanol. Vật liệu được sử dụng như một chất xúc tác base cho phản ứng transester hóa tạo biodiesel từ dầu ăn đã qua sử dụng và hỗn hợp rượu ethanol/methanol. Ảnh hưởng của các yếu tố trong quá trình phản ứng như: hàm lượng xúc tác, nhiệt độ phản ứng, tỷ lệ mol alcohol/dầu, thời gian phản ứng đến độ chuyển hóa và chất lượng của sản phẩm được đánh giá trong nghiên cứu này.
