On May 7th, 2016, Chairwoman of the 14th National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan
paid a visit to CTU on the occasion of the meeting between the candidates for the 14th
National Assembly (2016-2021) and CTU's voters. She congratulated the achievements of
CTU in the past 50 years and hoped that the University would continue to reach new height
and be the people's reliable address of an education and training center for quality human
resources serving the need of labor of the Mekong Delta region, in particular, and the country,
in general.
Speaking at the 50th Anniversary Ceremony of CTU's Establishment (March 31st, 1966 -
March 31st, 2016), Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam emphasized: "With a tradition of 50
years of development, I believe that CTU will be one of the leading institutions in education
reform to maintain the position as a top university of the country and increase the high rank in
the region and the world, contributing more and more to the socio-economic development of
the Mekong Delta and the whole country".
