TheRectorisresponsiblefortheoverallgovernanceandmanagementoftheUniversity,
reporting to the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) of Vietnam, the localilties in
the Mekong Delta, especially to the Communist Party Committee of Can Tho City and
the Communist Party Committee of Can Tho University, as well as all the staff members for all
the activities at the general and strategic levels for the overall development of the University in
accordance to the Communist Party and Government's orientations, guidelines and policies.
Specifically, he is directly in charge of strategic planning for the University development,
managing, planning and developing human resources, financial budget, capital construction,
services and technology transfer of the University; directly assigns planning making, personnel,
finance, foundation construction, services and the development of Teacher Practice High
School.
