3. CTU encouraged students to join the
pioneer movements for socio-economic
development and world integration. The
University appointed five youth delegates to
join international cultural exchange programs,
summer camp and youth forum of ASEAN
countries. Besides, the students of CTU were
also very excited to welcome international
friends from foreign institutions at CTU to
study and exchange cultures.
4. Appointed by the University leadership, the Youth Union of CTU significantly organized visits and
exchanges between the youth representatives of CTU and the military and navy units. The Youth Union
raised the funding of 80.2 million VND and presented the fund with plant seedlings and livestock
offspring to the soldiers for the military ordnance work. In addition, the scientists from CTU implemented
the technology transfer on crops and livestock cultivation to the military ordnance teams to help
improve the productivity of the ordnance work with healthy meals for the soldiers. Through the visits
and exchanges, CTU warmly sent the encouragement and in-depth sentiments to the military and navy
soldiers and officials, let the students understand about the military and navy work, and reinforced the
youth's awareness of their duties for the Nation.
5. CTU strengthened activities in student care
and support by diversified activities, such as
providing and fund-raising scholarships with
1.9 billion VND for disadvantaged students;
organizing talks, discussion and exchanges
between students and representatives of
enterprises and successful entrepreneurs on
practical professional skills and other necessary
social skills, with the participation of more than
16,000 students in the year.
With the highlighted results in 2014, the Youth Union of CTU was honored to receive the Emulation Flag
from the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of Can Tho City (the Youth Union of CTU works under
the Youth Union of Can Tho City), being recognized as "the Excellent Unit in performing the affairs of
the Youth Union and the youth movements of Can Tho City in the 2012-2014 period".
