Intensifying scientific research associated with technology
transfer cooperation with enterprises
Scientific and technological activities of CTU marked a breakthrough in 2014. In the year, the
University conducted the implementation of 254 research projects at all levels, of which were
one state level project, 19 ones at the Ministry level and 52 cooperation projects with the localities
and enterprises with a total budget of more than 51.5 billion VND.
CTU highly recognizes the importance to make a strong link between the scholarly sector
and the industry for technological cooperation, promoting technology transfer in production
and commercialization of research results. This act contributes greatly to implementing the
Government's policies in encouraging the cooperation between scientific research institutions and
enterprises, making up key factors for the sustainable growth, development and competitiveness
of the enterprises and of the national economy, in order to achieve higher competitiveness in rapid
changes in the world economy.
In the year, the University continued to extend scientific and technological cooperation activities
with domestic and foreign enterprises. For example, CTU continued to cooperate with PVCFC
(Petroleum Vietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company) to produce inorganic and organic
fertilizers; with Tan Kim Phuc Fertilizer Joint Stock Company to transfer technology for organic
fertilizer production; with NHONHO Technology Co., Ltd, Vietnam Cleaner Production Centre,
Vietnam Brewery Limited for scientific research and technology transfer; with Vietnam Association
of Seafood Exporters and Producers to build up a project for setting up a technology demonstration
farm for advanced and sustainable fish culture in Vietnam. For cooperative activities with foreign
companies, in line with scientific and technological tights, CTU also continued to support them to
set up the liaison office located at CTU's campuses and collaborate to conduct testing experiments
and demonstrations for their innovative technology before the actual transfer to the localities to be
applied. Of the leading international companies in collaboration with CTU were YANMAR Co. and
Sumitomo Fertilizer (Japan).
Cooperation on scientific research and technology transfer between CTU and enterprises not only
tightens the relationship between the scholarship and the entrepreneurship, but also strengthens
the capacity of CTU's scientists and researchers. Also, It helps enhance the budget for scientific
research and technological activities contributing to the development of CTU.
