The objective of this research is to determine the hydro-geological parameters for groundwater (GW) flow simulation from pumping test for a case study in Tra Noc industrial zone in Can Tho city. It can be achieved by (1) firstly evaluating the current state of groundwater resources (GWR) exploitation, use and dynamics, (2) carrying out pumping test at Tra Noc industrial zone in Can Tho city; and (3) then determining the basic hydro-geological parameters of the upper Pleistocene aquifer (qp2-3) including hydraulic conductivity (K), transmissivity coefficient (T), and storativity coefficient (S). The results would determine the hydro-geological parameters (K, T, S) in the study area by Theis method. This results would be a database to set up GW flow simulation model for management and prediction of GW exploitation. The result of reveals that K is of 3.46 m/hr, S is of 0.001, T is of 242 m2/hr. They are slightly over/under the parameters estimated by previous research results. The results of this research are also the basis to compare and correct secondary hydro-goelogical data and prepare reliable data for GW flow simulation.
