The covid 19 pandemic that broke out in early 2020 has severely affected all aspects of life around the world, especially in the economic field. As countries close their borders to combat the Covid-19 epidemic, tourism is one of the industries most affected. The decline in revenue from tourism services when entertainment venues closed, hotels and restaurants seemed to be locked, had a strong impact on those who do business and make a living from tourism.
Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam is one of the most attractive places in Vietnam in tourism. Every year, Phu Quoc attracts a large number of tourists to this beautiful island and international tourists make up a very large number. The covid 19 pandemic broke out in the world and Vietnam has brought everything to a halt, the vibrant Phu Quoc island has suffered a catastrophic decline in the tourism economy. In the general recovery of Vietnam and the world with the spread of the covid 19 vaccine, it is hoped that Phu Quoc can quickly welcome tourists back to restore its inherent development and contribute to the recovery of the economy. This article is based on actual surveys in Phu Quoc Island, through data and local observations, showing a general background of the tourism crisis that the island faces as well as the crisis of tourism. crisis of the tourism industry in Vietnam.
