This study used the remote sensing method to imterprete MODIS images (MOD09Q1), 250-m spatial resolutions, 8-day interval from 1/1/2000 to 12/31/2013 to monitor the change of rice cropping season in Mekong river delta with airms to establish the rice croping mas from 2000 to 2013to evaluate fluctuations of rice croping season from 2000 to 2013. GIS methods was used to establish the rice cropping maps in the Mekong Delta from 2000 to 2013. 200 validate location in most rice-growing area, the result of classification, and the accuracy of classification was 79%. There was a close correlation between the result of image classification and statistics data (0.70 < R2).
