Viet Namhas an area of over 1.2 millions ha of water surface, a coastline of 3260km and large number of islands which is considered great potential for freshwater, brackishwater and marine aquaculture development. Over the past decades, aquaculture inViet Namhas been developing through three main stages, 1960-1975, 1976-1980 and 1981- recent years, and each stage characterizes with different activities and achievements (Tuan, 2013). Aquaculture industry is dynamic with different culture species, culture systems and relating services and is more and more playing very important socio-economic sectors of the country.Viet Namyearly produces over 2.7 million tons of aquaculture products from nearly 1.1 million ha, and recently stands as the third largest aquaculture producer of the world (Directorate of Fisheries, 2012). Of the aquaculture sector, shrimp industry is one of very important and successful areas.
